About the Role
The PACER Plus Implementation Unit is seeking applications for the position of PACER Plus National Coordinator. The National Coordinator will support in-country implementation of the PACER Plus Development and Economic Cooperation Work Programme, working closely with national focal points, government agencies, private sector stakeholders, non-government organisations, development partners, and the PPIU.
The role will support activity planning, stakeholder coordination, logistics, reporting, monitoring and evaluation, communications, and the collection of country-level information to support effective programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
The National Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Supporting the development of activity proposals, concept notes, workplans, and requests for support.
- Coordinating meetings, training, workshops, and other in-country activities.
- Liaising with national stakeholders and the PPIU on country priorities, risks, challenges, and opportunities.
- Supporting stakeholder engagement across government, private sector, NGOs, and development partners.
- Promoting gender equality, disability awareness, and social inclusion in programme activities.
- Supporting PPIU communications and sharing national-level achievements and trade-related stories.
- Collecting and collating country-specific data for monitoring, evaluation, learning, and adaptation.
- Supporting the development of case studies and reports demonstrating outcomes and impact.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- Tertiary qualifications in International Trade, Social or Political Sciences, Economics, Business, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the public sector, donor-funded programmes, trade, investment, services, or economic development.
- Knowledge and experience in trade, investment, or the services sector.
- Experience with project management cycles, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Commitment to gender equality, disability awareness, and social inclusion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp, cloud storage, and other digital collaboration tools.

- Intervention Concept Notes
- Activity Proposals and Plans
- Six-monthly Country Programme Reports
- Annual Workplans
- Six-Monthly Progress Reports
- Annual Performance Assessments
- Other reports as required by the PPIU
